LOVELAND, OH (September 26, 2022) – In an unanimous 5-0 vote, the Loveland City School District (LCSD) Board of Education passed a resolution to assure transparency and accountability for any funds from the new 4.9 mill operating levy placed on the upcoming November 8, ballot as Issue 4.

Superintendent Mike Broadwater shared details on the action taken by the board in the latest edition of “Tiger Talk” released Sunday evening, September 25.
Here is the text of his message:
Loveland Tiger Families,
I want to make sure our families are aware of the action taken by our Board of Education at last week’s meeting. When you go to the polls on November 8, you’ll see Issue 4 on the ballot – a 4.9 mill operating levy for Loveland City Schools. The levy will provide funding to accomplish three main goals – maintain current operations, restore high school busing, and hire up to 5 new certified employees over the next three years if needed. To further establish trust and transparency with our community, the Board of Education passed a resolution to account for the new levy funds. Here is the language of the resolution:
WHEREAS, the Loveland Board of Education (Board) has placed a continuing 4.9 mil operating levy on the ballot for November 8th, 2022;
AND WHEREAS, the Board endeavors to provide assurance to the community about the purpose for which certain funds will be utilized;
AND WHEREAS, funds may not be able to be used for their intended purpose either by timing, need or a lack of personnel as intended;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board hereby directs the treasurer and superintendent to identify funds not yet committed to the purpose for which they are intended and account for these monies in a manner that easily provides transparency until such time, as directed by action of this Board, it determines these set-asides are to be utilized.
Here is the conclusion of his “Superintendent’s Message” from Sunday, September 25:
The resolution was passed unanimously by our Board of Education. I encourage you to watch the Board Meeting discussion around this resolution. If you have questions about the resolution, you can reach out to our Board members by emailing board@lovelandschools.org
