The James Bond character, who is employed the British MI6, was created by Ian Fleming in 1953 while living in Jamaica. Fittingly, Dr. No takes place in large part on this Caribbean island.

This map of Jamaica, surrounded by vignettes of island scenery and life, is by John Tallis from 1850.
