A non-teaching staff member at Loveland Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19.

LOVELAND, OH (October 5, 2020) – The Loveland City School District released a new COVID-19 Update this afternoon reporting a non-teaching staff member has tested positive for the coronavirus COVID-19.

According to the information update released by LCSD this afternoon, the school was notified of the postive COVID-19 case Sunday, October 4, 2020. The person is identified as a non-teaching staff member from Loveland Elementary School who was last present at the school on Monday, September 28. It was determined no members of the school were in close contact with the person with the confirmed case. 

On Monday, October 5, 2020 LCSD was notified a Loveland High School student also tested positive for COVID-19. The student has not been present in the school since Wednesday, September 30. School officials have determined no members of the high school were in close contact with the student with the confirmed COVID-19 case.

On Sunday, 10/4/20, the district was notified that a non-teaching staff member at Loveland Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. This staff member was last present at school on Monday, 9/28/20. No members of the school were determined to be in close-contact with the confirmed case.

On Monday, 10/5/20, the district was notified that a student at Loveland High School has also tested positive for COVID-19. This student was last present at school on Wednesday, 9/30/20. No members of the school were determined to be in close-contact with the confirmed case.

As a result of these confirmed cases, the following actions are being taken at this time:

– All staff and students should follow the protocols outlined by Hamilton County Public Health, including daily health checks for symptoms of COVID-19.

– Should you or your student develop any of these symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider for guidance.

  • Fever and chills
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
