LHS Principal Adam Reed is headed to Mt. Healthy Schools

LOVELAND, OH (May 11, 2023) – In a press release issued Friday morning, the Loveland City School District (LCSD) announced the impending departure of Loveland High School (LHS) Principal Adam Reed and the hiring of Dave Spencer as his replacement.

Spencer joins Loveland after 19 years in the Forest Hills School District including the last eight years as Turpin High School principal. 

“Loveland High School is the flagship of our district, and I believe Dave Spencer will be a great person to lead LHS,” said LCSD Superintendent Mike Broadwater. “He is a seasoned administrator, and a high-character, student-focused leader.” 

Spencer comes to Loveland High School following his eight years as principal at Turpin High School (THS). He served the previous 11 years as the assistant principal there. He has been a high school administrator for 24 years, including five years in Bright Local Schools.

Spencer’s hiring is pending approval by the Board of Education. With that approveal , he will lead Loveland High School beginning with the 23-24 school year.

NOTE: The LCSD Board of Education meets again Tuesday, May 16, with their first opportunity to approve the hiring of Dave Spencer as new LHS Principal.

While it appears Dave Spencer will be taking the helm as Principal of LHS, his entrance comes as a result of the exit of current LHS Principal Adam Reed. 

Reed has accepted a new role in the Central Office of Mount Healthy City Schools. Superintendent Mike Broadwater offered thanks and well wishes to the departing leader of LHS.
