Susan shared the following story about today’s feature poem: Once Upon A Cushman
Here’s her story:
Don lived next door to us five Sanders girls. We knew everything that went on at his address. His buddies would meet there on their scooters. Then they would all ride together. Don and Earl Hughes had the prettiest bikes. They were covered with chrome from Earl’s father’s chrome shop. Eventually Don took each of us girls for a ride on his red and chrome scooter. He even took our mother for a ride. I still cherish those happy memories. – Susan F. Adams
