FUN WITH MAPS – ISSUE 2025-203
By Steve Kovacs (Introduction by Chuck Gibson)
LOVELAND, OH (December 5, 2025) – Today’s edition of Fun with Maps is right in front of you, but something(s) much bigger have somehow disappeared here.
Triangle
The Bermuda triangle – Bermuda to the southern tip of Florida to Puerto Rico. Mysterious disappearances of ships and planes have been documented over the years.
The most famous vanishing is of 5 US Navy bombers on a training mission on December 5, 1946. Just disappeared.
So what causes these disappearances?
Theories range from shifting weather patterns, magnetic anomalies, to methane gas releases, to just bad luck.
Have you been through the triangle? I would think most have been on a cruise ship or a flight to the Caribbean through the triangle.
This map of Bermuda is by Hondius from 1639.
