LOVELAND, OH (August 17, 2026) – EVENING EXTRA! Here is text from the earlier press release from the City of Loveland:
The award includes $4 million in principal loan forgiveness and a $10 million interest-free loan through Ohio EPA’s Water Supply Revolving Loan Account. The overall construction project is currently estimated at approximately $17 million.
Loveland has been proactively preparing for upcoming federal PFAS drinking water requirements, beginning its treatment planning and evaluation process in 2023. The City is continuing to pursue additional state and federal funding to help offset the remaining construction costs and minimize the financial impact on ratepayers.
The City says the funding represents a significant investment in the future of Loveland’s drinking water system and will help the community prepare for new federal standards while continuing to provide safe, high-quality drinking water.
