Happy 86th Birthday Elvis Presley!

We all know Elvis and much of his story.

And of course, here comes the “but did you know…”

Did you know Elvis Presley had a twin brother?

Elvis’s identical twin brother, older by 35 minutes, unfortunately was stillborn.  Jesse Garon Presley.  Can you imagine two Kings of Rock and Roll?

Elvis is believed to be part Cherokee — his mother’s great-great-grandmother, Morning Dove White, was a Cherokee.  That would make Elvis 3.125% Native American.

Elvis has been dead longer than alive, having passed away in 1977 at the age of 42.  Rest in Peace.

Here is Tanner’s 1836 map of Elvis’ birth state, Mississippi.
