Indian Hill High School’s Michelle Fu’s work selected from more than 6,000 entries

INDIAN HILL, OH (March 18, 2021) – The artwork of Indian Hill High School student-artist Michelle Fu; was selected as one of the pieces to be displayed for the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition out of 6,280 entries submitted by 2,441 students from across Ohio.

“Within the world of art competition, this is the equivalent of being a state qualifier,” explained Indian Hill High School Art instructor Adam Wolter. Regional jurors cut the field to just more than 1,000 pieces; state jurors scored the work to arrive at the state winners.
“What an accomplishment!” said Indian Hill High School Principal Jeff Damadeo. “We are thrilled for Michelle, and we congratulate her on this elite recognition.”
According to the official website, the Ohio Governor’s Youth Art Exhibition is dedicated to the educational and artistic advancement of our talented young people in the state of Ohio. The purpose is to provide all budding young artists of the state with opportunities to advance their talent.
Additionally, due to COVID-19, the 2021 Exhibition and awards ceremony will be in a video/virtual format. Artwork, scholarship presentations, and messages from special guests will be available to view on the website (http://www.govart.org/) beginning Sunday, April 25.
