MAINEVILLE, OH (January 14, 2022) – It’s no secret that Cincinnatians love their chili – hence that signature style attributed to the Queen City herself. But in a town where chili parlors and varieties abound, Findlay Market shines a light on them all at Chili Fest.
Having a signature style all its own as well – with both beer and chili – it should come as no surprise that Cartridge Brewing is this year’s Event Sponsor and the official beer of Chili Fest, taking place this Sunday, January 16, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
“We’re excited to be a part of this annual event for so many reasons,” said Anthony Cook, Co-founder and Chief Development Officer. “Findlay Market itself is known for its impressive history – it celebrates the story of people who have an artisanal focus, whether through goods, food or beer … that’s what it’s all about, right? That matches our commitment to honoring our historic roots as well – it’s a great partnership.”
As the official beer, Chili Fest attendees will be treated to samples of two of Cartridge’s signature beers, Panzer (Festbier), a “super Helles” that’s malty and easy-drinking, and Drop Zone (IPA), a big, bold and subtly fruity IPA that’s juicy and bright. Look for the Cartridge tent and table, where brewpub team members will be pouring beer and talking more about the brewery’s lineup. Full pints of both Cartridge beers can also be purchased at Jane’s inside the Market.
And what about the chili? Cartridge will be bringing that to sample, too. The brewpub has been offering their own go-to style since they first opened – a classic beef creation slow-cooked with beans, peppers and spices, served with buttermilk cornbread.
“Findlay is a Cincinnati institution, and as a newer brewery, we really wanted to highlight our influence in the brewing heritage of this city – we’re already on tap at a number of OTR spots,” said Tom Jenkins, Brand & OTR Sales Representative. “This is my neighborhood, I’m part of community, so I’m excited to share some of the amazing things we’re doing with everyone who lives around here or visits this historic market.”
Tickets are still available, either at this Sunday’s event or for advance purchase at FindlayMarket.org.
