Matt Patterson To Lead LECC

LOVELAND, OH (June 23, 2023) – In a news release issued late this afternoon, the Loveland City School District announced the selection of Matt Patterson as the next principal of Loveland Early Childhood Center.

“Loveland Early Childhood Center is where our youngest students get their start, and I believe Matt will be a great person to lead the building,” said Superintendent Mike Broadwater. “He has the qualities that we value in a building principal – caring for kids and building relationships with our families, staff, and community.” 

Mr. Patterson’s experiences in Lakota, Mariemont, and Forest Hills school districts include intervention specialist, gifted coordinator, and assistant principal. He also brings extensive experience at the preschool and kindergarten levels.

Matt attended Miami University for his Bachelor’s Degree and Xavier University for his Education Administration Licensure. Matt lives in West Chester, Ohio, with his wife, Kristin, and their three children.

“I’m extremely excited to join such a high-performing school district and lead the Loveland Early Childhood Center as their principal,” said Patterson. “I look forward to meeting my students and staff and serving this community.” 

Matt Patterson has been named the new principal at Loveland Early Childhood Center (LECC) following the departure of Sara Gehring to accept a position with the Madeira City School District. Loveland City School District announced the search for a new LECC Principal along with the departure of previous LECC principal Gehring in a news release issued just this past Wednesday, June 21.

Mr. Patterson will take on the role of LECC principal  effective August 1, 2023, pending approval by the Loveland City School District Board of Education.
