LOVELAND, OH (December 10, 2021)  – Tis the season of giving. In this time of giving, Art Jarvis, Jarvis Global Investments, LLC, continues to embody the spirit of the season.

Jarvis Global Investments, LLC will be donating a dozen canned goods to the Loveland LIFE Food Pantry for every three-pointer scored by the Loveland High School (LHS)  Tiger basketball teams. This initiative, called “3’s for L.I.F.E.,” will occur at all twenty-two home games this season. Brian Conatser, Loveland High School Athletic Director, values the partnership with the athletes and the community.

“Loveland Athletic Department embraces the opportunity to work alongside our student-athlete organizations to make a difference in the community and provide for others,” said Conatser.

Several organizations have come together to bring the project to life. Among them is LHS’s own non-profit organization, Tigers Inc. Craig Murnan is founder of Tigers Inc. and was asked about the impact this initiative has on the students involved with Tigers Inc.

“The students of Tigers Inc are extremely excited about the opportunity to support another local non-profit,” said Murnan.  “L.I.F.E. Food Pantry represents everything that is right about our community. Their mission of service and impact serve a critical need. This partnership of business, non-profit, and the school system exemplify what it means to #beLOVEland. I am excited that our students get to share their talents and enthusiasm in such a rewarding way.”

One student member of Tigers Inc. echoed his words of their enthusiasm for this project.

“I’ve greatly enjoyed working on this project with other driven individuals and being able to see the difference we are making by putting food on the tables of community members.” – Lindsey Barry, student representative for Tigers Inc.

Tigers Inc., the Loveland Athletic Boosters, and the Loveland High School Spirit Club, have set a goal to donate 1,500 cans. Art Jarvis is happy to partner with the Loveland student organizations for the good of the community.

“The Jarvis family and Jarvis Global Investments are delighted to work with Tigers Inc., the Loveland Spirit Club, the Loveland Athletic Department, L.I.F.E. Food Pantry, the Loveland Athletic Boosters, and the Loveland community to create this event,” said Jarvis. “We are equally excited by the number of organizations and individuals who have come together to have a positive impact on those who are food insecure; especially during this holiday season.”

In addition to Jarvis’ donations, student representatives have planned several events to allow community members and other students to donate as well. Chloe Etter, president of Spirit Club, is equally happy to participate in the initiative.

“The Loveland Spirit Club is very excited to be involved in this project to give back to the community,” said Etter. “Motivating students to support a great cause is an opportunity for Spirit Club to bring students together to help those in need while having fun. Tiger Nation is looking forward to encouraging students to collect cans for Life Food Pantry. Go Tigers!”

This evening, Friday, December 10th, at the Boy’s home basketball game, the Loveland Athletic Boosters will be donating a $1 coupon for concessions to anyone who brings in two cans.

Additionally, Jarvis Global Investments, LLC will be donating spirit towels on Saturday, January 15th, at the Girl’s Basketball game to students who donate two cans. Loveland LIFE Food Pantry has worked closely with Loveland Schools in the past, and they are very grateful for the donations. Chad Planner lives in Loveland and is a board member of the LIFE Food Pantry.

“Since 1988, LIFE Food Pantry has been providing food and financial assistance to those in need in the Greater Loveland area. In 2020 alone, LIFE served more than 100,000 meals to nearly 2,000 local families — relying almost solely on the generosity of others to meet those demands,” said Planner.  “We are so fortunate to be part of this incredible community that generously gives food and monetary donations so we can care for our neighbors.”

For community members who are interested in making a difference, donations can be made at any home basketball game this season.
