Boys and Girls claim 2-0 shutout wins in conference play

LOVELAND, OH (October 7, 2020 – The soccer pitch brought more good news for Loveland High School fall sports Tuesday night with the boys claiming road victory at Anderson High School while the girls won at home against Walnut Hills.

The boys shutout Anderson 2-0 raising their overall record to 9-1-2, but more importantly moving up to second place in the Eastern Cincinnati Conference with a 5-1-0 in conference action Turpin is in 1st place, but has played one more match with a record of 6-1-0 in the ECC. The Spartans have lost two non-conference matches and stand 8-3-0 overall. The Tigers host Walnut Hills Thursday in Tiger Stadium at 7 p.m. in their next ECC match. Turpin will visit Kings Thursday.

The Lady Tigers defense was stout against the Eagles of Walnut Hills Tuesday not giving up a single shot on goal allowing junior keeper Eva Dudeck to record a 2-0 shutout without making a single save.

Goal scoring came from Ryann Eversole and Abby Pawlikowski (1 each) with assist from Lauren Donovan and Shraya Smolenski.

The Lady Tigers sit at the top of the ECC standings undefeated in conference play at 6-0-1 and undefeated overall with a record of 10-0-3 after 13 matches this fall. They are in action again tonight (Wednesday, October 7,) as they play host to Hamilton Badin at 7 p.m.

TIGER TRACKS:

Girls Tennis: Loveland defeated Walnut Hills 4-1 Thursday, September 30, to close out the fall tennis season with a conference record of 6-2 while going 14-4 overall.

Girls Volleyball: Loveland visits Lebanon tonight (Tue. 10/6) and hosts Anderson Thursday, 10/8. Both matches start at 6:30 p.m. They’re 8-6 in conference play and 10-7 overall for the season.

Cross Country: Boys and Girls teams are scheduled for Kings Duals Meet this Saturday, October 10, in a final tune-up for the ECC Championship Saturday, October 17, at Home of the Brave Park in Symmes Township.

Football: Football playoffs start this Friday. The Tigers are seeded #18 and will travel to Little Miami (seeded #15) Friday, October 9, for the first round game against the Panthers.  Kick off will be at 7 p.m.

The winner goes to LaSalle to take on the Lancers the following week.
