LOVELAND, OH (July 14, 2023) – Today Loveland Beacon features another poem from our featured poet Susan Adams’
CO-RIDER with her driver (Photo courtesy Susan F. Adams)
Our favorite Featured Poet here on Loveland Beacon Poet’s Corner shared the following story about today’s feature poem: CO-RIDER’S MY NAME
Here is her story:
This was my very first poem that I wrote and I sent it to Wing World Magazine. My greatest unhappiness was the editor ruined my list of duties by putting an “I” where the person thought it should be – “I clean his glasses” – and “I raise up his collar” – “I unwrap his lozenges” etc. My grocery list never says; “I need milk” it simply says; “Milk”. I never sent them another poem.
