Loveland Board of Education to begin search for next educational leader

LOVELAND, OH (December 17, 2020) – The Loveland City Schoool District released the following information Thursday evening, December 17, regarding the resignation and impending departure of school superintendent Dr. Amy Crouse. Here is the text of the LCSD release: 

Dr. Amy Crouse, Outgoing Superintendent, Loveland City School District has accepted a new position (File)

The Loveland City School District has announced that superintendent Dr. Amy Crouse, has accepted a new position.

“I have appreciated the opportunity to serve this community, the families, and most importantly the students,” Dr. Crouse said. “It has been a privilege to work alongside the incredible staff, faculty, and administration of the district.”

Dr. Amy Crouse began serving the Loveland City School District as superintendent in 2018, after working in the position as interim in 2017. 

She first joined the Tiger Family as the assistant superintendent of teaching and learning in 2014. Dr. Crouse came to the district as a seasoned administrator with 21 years of service to students at various districts on her resume. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Indiana University in 1990, her master’s in education administration from the University of Cincinnati (UC) in 1997, and her doctorate of education from UC in 2012.

“I wish Dr. Crouse continued success in her career as an outstanding school administrator and educator,” said Loveland Board of Education President Dr. Kathryn Lorenz. “Dr. Crouse has been an invaluable member of our Tiger family and has played a tremendous role in our continuing growth as a district.”

Dr. Crouse will serve her final day in the LCSD office of Superintendent during the week beginning 12/21 as Loveland Schools prepare to close for the Christmas Holiday break.

“We will seek an interim superintendent to continue seamless operation of the district while engaging the community in a search for the next leader to continue our district’s progress,” Lorenz said.

“I am grateful for the leadership of the Board and I wish the school district continued success,” Crouse said.
