Loveland School Board President Dr. Kathryn Lorenz “regretfully” accepted the letter of resignation from Dr. Crouse near the end of the planned “Special Meeting” of the BOE late this afternoon.
No additional details regarding the resignation of the Superintendent have been made available as this story is being written. A full statement is expected to come from the Loveland City School District – possibly as early as this evening. Loveland Beacon has reached out to Dr. Crouse for comment. We will share her response as soon as possible.
Dr. Crouse is serving her fourth year as Superintendent of the Loveland City School Distrtict. She has overseen vast improvements in the overall ranking of LCSD by state and federal standard of education during her tenure both as interim Superintendent and then as Superintendent. In the past year, she has been the constant target of critics within the community calling for her removal. Most of the criticism arose from a failed levy to fund future building and programs for the school district.
Repeating: Loveland City School District Superintendent Dr. Amy Crouse has resigned. More details as they become available. Keep watch.
