COVID-19 Updates:
This week, Chief Huber led a virtual meeting with various staff members to discuss plans for the
gradual re-opening of city operations in compliance with all state orders. The discussion included a
variety of items to protect the public and city staff. Among the items discussed were:
• Regular sanitizing of public restrooms
• Regular sanitizing of playsets
• Modifications to City Hall to restrict access to central areas only
• Utilizing Zoom type technology to conduct staff and department head meetings
• Adding sanitizers stands to the entrances of public buildings
Tuesday, I participated in the weekly online meeting of the Loveland Community Resources team.
The group continues to expand their reach to those in need throughout the community. The
organization represents a committed group of volunteers whom have a single focus; helping those in
need. The group has updated their flyer, which the city has posted on our website. A link to the
flyer can be viewed by Clicking Here
Thursday, we received a communication from Lesleigh Chumbley, the Branch Manager at the
Loveland Branch Library. Lesleigh wanted help in spreading the word, that while the location is
closed that they “open” online with a large variety of digital materials. A News Flash was prepared
and posted on the City’s website.
Non COVID-19 Activities:
Administration
Becky and Gary Giver contacted the City this week and offered to purchase, maintain, and fill bird
feeders near the bird blind in the Loveland Nature Preserve to help make this a peaceful place for
residents to enjoy, six feet apart of course, during this trying time. We are grateful for their
generosity and partnership with the City.
The April Straight From The Heart newsletter was published this week. The newsletter can be viewed

Police Department
This week K9 Mack underwent surgery to fix a nerve issue in his back. The surgery went fine and
we expect Mack to be on “light duty” recovering for about a month. Officer Kyle Bibelhausen is
also fine and recovering from the stressful surgery of his beloved partner.
Public Works Department
This week, Public Works completed spring brush pickup. Restoring brush pickup from its
temporary suspension due to COVID-19, was extremely appreciated by city residents. Thanks again
to Public Works for completing this service efficiently and safely.
Upcoming Events & Activities
