Indian Hill High School student will join elite Music Education progam in January 2022

INDIAN HILL, OH (November 4, 2021) – Indian Hill High School senior student-musician Jessie Chan has been selected as a member of the 2021 National Association for Music Education (NAfME) All-National Concert Band, Oboe.

Chan will join the elite National Association for Music Education program in January 2022. 

“Jessie is a very talented musician with an amazing work ethic,” said Indian Hill High School Band Director Don Barker. “She is committed to achieving a level of excellence that serves as a model for her fellow students.”

Chan auditioned in multiple rounds to earn the recognition. She is one of four oboe players nationally to be selected.

“I will get to meet people from other places and learn, grow, and be challenged by people who truly love music with me,” said Chan about her selection. 

The 2021 All-National Honor Ensembles (ANHE) program will take place virtually January 22-24, 2022.
