LOVELAND, OH (September 18, 2021)  – The Loveland Tigers fell to the Milford Eagles Friday 48-34 after playing to a first-half tie.

Loveland was looking to make it two wins in a row as they played Milford even 21-21 at the half Friday night at Tiger Stadium. The Eagles proved too much in the final two quarters outscoring the Tigers 27-13 for the 14 point win.

After collecting their first win of the season over West Clermont last Friday, and a close loss the week before at Turpin, the Loveland Tigers had every reason to be confident at home against a tough Milford foe. First half action only made victory seem that much more realistic going into the second half play tied at 21 apiece. Sadly, the Eagles lit up the scoreboard with 27 points while the Tigers answer fell short with just 13.

The Tigers now stand at 1-4 overall while dropping to 1-2 in conference play. The Milford win raised their overall record to 4-1 and kept them undefeated at 3-0 in conference action. They’ll travel to Winton Woods next Friday. After the home loss Friday, the Tigers are on the road again next week as they travel to Little Miami to take on the Panthers.

Here is all the ECC results from week five action Friday night:

Anderson defeated Lebanon 51-26

Kings over Walnut Hills 38-14

Milford beat Loveland 48-34

Turpin won against Little Miami 41-23

Winton Woods downed West Clermont 44-14
