Loveland School Board will meet in special session Wednesday, 9/22

LOVELAND, OH (September 20, 2021) – In a special notice released by the Loveland City School District Office of the Treasurer, it was announced the Loveland School Board will hold a special meeting this Wednesday, September 22.
The special meeting of the BOE will take place in the Loveland Middle/Intermediate School Media Center beginning at 6:00 p.m.. Candidates for the position of treasurer will be interviewed by the board.
According to the notification from Interim Treasurer Robert Giuffre, the board members will enter into executive session upon commencement of the meeting in accordance with ORC Section 121.22(G)(1). No action will be taken. There will be no Public Participation at this Special Meeting in accordance wiht Board Policy 0169.1.
The position of LCSD Treasurer was left vacant by the departure of former Treasurer/CFO Kevin Hawley at the end of May 2021. Hawley left to accept a new position elsewhere. At the time, Board of Education President Dr. Kathryn Lorenz expressed thanks and well wishes on behalf of the Loveland City School District.
Likewise, Hawley thanked the board for their support during his tenure at the time.
“It has been a privilege and honor to represent and serve the Loveland City Schools community,” said Hawley. “I have learned a lot during my tenure and I want to thank the Board for their continued support.”
Kevin Hawley served out the term of his contract which expired July 31, 2021. The BOE has been dilligently seeking a permanent replacement. Robert Giuffre has been serving as the interim Treasurer during the search process.
