Loveland tradition returns with the arrival of Santa Claus December 4
By Chuck Gibson
LOVELAND, OH (November 22, 2021) – It’s a Loveland Christmas tradition restored after some nostalgic memories stirred in David Terry back in 2018. Santa Land will return with a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus on Saturday, December 4, from Noon – 4 p.m. at “Santa’s House” in the parking lot of Loveland Plaza.
David Terry, a lifelong resident of Loveland and owner of R.P. Diamond Printing & Embroidery, has teamed with other local business owners to recreate the wonderful tradition of Santa Land in Loveland.
“I got this flashback, warm-n-fuzzy feeling. It brought back the memories. I told my wife I think we can make this happen again.” – David Terry, 2019
Santa will arrive on a “Big Red Sleigh” courtesy of the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department. Kids of all ages will have the chance to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus in the Santa House. Oh yes, the Elves will be there too; the balloon elves will be on hand for everyone to meet and get a balloon. Visitors will be able to ride the Christmas Train and enjoy so many of the great traditions of the Santa Land Dave Terry has brought back to life. He had help along the way after sharing his memories with Art. Jarvis of Jarvis Global Investments, LLC.
“I’m a huge fan of this kind of nostalgia. I’m a fan of Christmas. I have great memories from Christmas downtown as a kid. It’s all about the passion David Terry has for this.” – Art Jarvis -2019
The two connected back then to bring the event back and once again RP Diamond Printing & Embroidery and Jarvis Global Investments are hosting Loveland Santa Land for 2021. A face painter and caricature artist will be on hand to help entertain the kids and the adults too. Loveland LaRosa’s will be providing FREE pizza and there will be drinks – while supplies last. There is more to it, but Santa’s House and visiting Santa Claus remains the big feature.
“The centerpiece is Santa’s House, everything else helps entertain the kids while they wait to see Santa. There’s a lot of sentimental value. This is for the kids.” – David Terry, 2019
Sure there is the sentimental value, but there is some new additions for the kids too. They’ve added a “Mystery Ride” – nobody is telling what it is, but it promises to be fun for all. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy this Free Community Event brought to you by David Terry, R.P. Diamond, and Jarvis Global Investments, LLC.
Keeping everyone in mind during this Christmas Season, they are collecting NEW UNWRAPPED TOYS along with CANNED GOODS to donate to the LIFE Food Pantry. The donation box will be located in front of Santa’s house. If you’re unable to make out to Santa Land on Saturday, December 4, you can still donate. Just drop off your donation at RP Diamond Printing & Embroidery located at 368 Loveland-Madeira Rd. Monday-Friday 11:00-6:00, Saturday 11:00-3:00. They will be collecting donations now through Saturday, December 18.
“Seeing the kids with smiles is the biggest chill. Being pulled aside by folks closer to my own age, saying thanks for bringing back a memory now I get to share with my kids and grandkids. That was icing on the cake.” – David Terry, 2019
