Loveland’s 2nd annual Oktoberfest is this Friday & Saturday September 23-24

LOVELAND, OH (September 19, 2022) – Oktoberfest in Loveland is back for a second year this Friday & Saturday, September 23-24.

Back for the 2nd annual Oktoberfest is the popular Stein Hoist competition which will take place with preliminary rounds Friday and the Final Hoist on Saturday. You can watch the competition at any of your favorite Loveland watering holes with prelimiminary round competitions at Paxton’s, Ramseys, The Works and more. Just check the schedule – maybe you’ll even want to hoist the stein yourself. Day one festiviities begin at 4 p.m. and run through 10 p.m.

Get a taste of German in Loveland! Here’s what’s on tap (Besides the beer) for Friday at Oktoberfest: 

  • Biergarten featuring Warsteiner (all drink tips benefit CancerFree Kids)
  • Stein Hoist Competition
  • Lederhosen Competition
  • Keg Tapping
  • German Food and Flair

Saturday is Day 2 of Loveland Oktoberfest beginning at 12 NOON and running through 10 p.m.

Saturday promises more of the same with finals for the Stein Hoist competition, the Lederhosen competition along with a live Keg Tapping Ceremony. 

You won’t want to miss  stopping by the Biergarten featuring Warsteiner where your drink tips will benefit CancerFree Kids!

6:00-10:00 PM Schnappsband

6:30 PM Stein Hoist Prelims begin at local Restaurants and Bars

7:30 PM -8:00 PM German Dancers

10:00 PM Event ends

Saturday, September 24

12:00 PM Event begins and Biergarten opens, Stein Slide opens

12:00-1:00 PM Premier Dance and Tumbling

12:00-4:00 PM Kids zone with face painting, crafts, bounce house & games

1:00-5:00 PM Schnappsband

3:00 PM Weiner Dog Race, Nisbet Park (pre-register here!)

3:00-10 PM Chicken Dance on Stage on the hour with Loveland Leaders

5:00 PM Ceremonial Keg Procession and Keg Tapping; meet at City Hall

5:45 PM Stein Hoist Finals on Main Stage hosted by WLWT Channel 5 Meteorologist, Randi Rico

6:00 PM Zinzinnati Bier Band live on stage

10:00 PM Event ends
