Congratulations belong to Dancin’ on Main and business owner, Angela Peters as first-ever winner of the decorating contest. The contest is a new addition to the 2020 Hometown for the Holidays celebration in Milford, Ohio.
“Since we are a dance studio, we had to go with the Nutcracker Theme on one side. The other side has reindeer, a sleigh and Santa,” said Peters. “Those kind of decorations were always in my grandparents’ hardware store window when I was growing up.”
Peters says her favorite thing about Hometown for the Holidays is the beautiful lights and decorations and the real hometown feeling it brings. Dancin’ on Main opened its doors in historic downtown Milford in March of 2019.
This is the inaugural year for the Storefront Decoration Contest, and 18 businesses participated, creating window and storefront displays with lights, ornaments and holiday-themed decorations. The winner was chosen by ballot, made available at many of the businesses along Main Street.
Other merchants participating in this inaugural year decorating contest included: 20 Brix, Borrowed Time Events, Coldwell Banker West Shell, Enchanted Moments, LeiMarie, Little Miami Brewing Company, McCarthy Stevenot Agency, Mercantile Mall, One Main Gallery, One Stop Ladies Shop, Padrino, Painted River Art Studio, Primitive and More, Row House Gallery & Custom Framing, Roads Rivers and Trails, Scintilla on Main, and Villa Sanctuary.
Everyone is invited to be sure to visit historic downtown Milford this holiday season for great gift ideas, beautifully decorated storefronts and a festive atmosphere! For additional information and a complete list of Historic Milford Association merchants, visit downtownMilford.com.
