LOVELAND, OH (July 16, 2021) – The Loveland Community is invited to come out to the Loveland Kroger on Loveland-Madeira Road Saturday, July 17, 9 a.m-1 p.m. and “Stuff A Cruiser” with food donations.

The Loveland Police Department (LPD) and Loveland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (LCPAAA) are sponsoring the 9th annual “Stuff-a-Cruiser” event to fill the shelves of LIFE Food Pantry.

Residents are encouraged to drop off non-perishable food donations to literally stuff a police cruiser full! All donations will go to fill the shelves at LIFE Food Pantry, 541 Loveland-Madeira Road, for distribution.

Peggy Goodwin is the LCPAAA president and commented on how the “Stuff a Cruiser” event helps fill a summertime void in food donations at LIFE Food Pantry.

“Summer is traditionally a slow time for donations at the pantry with vacations and different routines,” said Goodwin. “With kids at home, and not receiving breakfast and lunch at school, that means greater demand at the pantry with dwindling supplies on their shelves.”

Below is a list of suggested items for donation.

  • canned beef stew,
  • canned spaghetti sauce,
  • canned Spaghetti-Os,
  • Sloppy Joe sauce,
  • canned pineapple,

“If Saturday isn’t a convenient time, consider shopping earlier in the week. Then just drive up to drop off your donation,”  Goodwin said. “It’s all about taking care of our friends and neighbors who may need a bit of a helping hand.”
