Following a hard-fought and inspirational battle with liver and colon cancer LHS Girls Basketball Coach Darnell Parker passed away peacefully Sunday, July 24. This Saturday, July 30, Loveland High School will host a celebration of Coach Parker’s life.

“It is important for our community to come together and remember Darnell, who made such an impact on our student-athletes. The lessons he taught extended far beyond the basketball court and he will be greatly missed.” – Superintendent Mike Broadwater.

The Celebration of Life will be held in the gymnasium of Loveland High School from 2 to 4 pm on Saturday, July 30. This will be an informal open house to allow the community to gather together, remember Coach Parker and pay respects to his family. District staff will be in attendance to provide support and additional resources for our students if needed.
