Group planting trees, shrubs & seedlings
at Loveland Post Office 9 a.m.-12 noon
By Chuck Gibson (Cindy Kessler contributed to this story)
LOVELAND, OH (November 17, 2021) – In a continuing effort to reduce maintenance costs and the carbon footprint of the Loveland Post Office, local volunteers are naturalizing swaths of grass with the planting of native tree & bush seedlings this Saturday, November 20.
Many volunteers have already laid the groundwork for a pollinator garden at the Loveland Post Office. They are seeking more volunteers to assist with the tree & shrub seedling plantings this weekend.
“We need volunteers. Of course,” said Cindy Kessler, organizer of the Pollinator Project. “Volunteers of all ages are welcome, but this is certainly an excellent way for kids to get service hours during the pandemic. So, on Nov 20th, we’ll be planting native tree and shrub seedlings at the Loveland Post Office. After that, nature simply works her magic.”
