LOVELAND, OH (January11, 2022) – On a crisply chilly Saturday morning January 8, the 2022 Valentine Program officially kicked off on “Sweetheart Lane” along the Scenic Little Miami River Trail.

According to notes from Valentine Lady Anne Fowler, it was a cold, but lovely kick-off event.
“We had a lovely albeit cold morning kickoff,” Fowler wrote following the event. “The sunshine did brighten our spirits.”
In her message to other members of the elite group of Loveland Valentine Ladies – past and present – Fowler also noted how they missed some members who were unable to attend the special launch of the 2022 Little Miami River Chamber Valentine Program.

“We missed Kay Napier, Linda Cox, Winkie Foster, and Carol Williams,” said Fowler, “But we were incredibly blessed to have our artist Nancy Sullivan with us. Her first venture out of her home and recovering nicely.”
Anne also took time out to recognize the absence – due to illness – of Pastor Bill Hounshell, a Valentine Program mainstay and Loveland Mayor Kathy Bailey who was also under the weather.
“Our prayers are with Pastor Bill and Mayor Kathy Bailey who are ill” she said. “We are wishing each a speedy recovery.”

After the ceremony with 2021-2022 Valentine Lady Jeannie Shumaker and the introduction of artist Nancy Sullivan and her 2022 Valentine Card, Anne offered thanks to Kroger for the roses presented to each of the Valentine Ladies. She extended equal gratitude to Trailside Provisions for the chocolate lollipops too. The ladies went on from the ceremony to enjoy a lunch together.
“A fun lunch was shared by all at Ramsey’s and we were able to catch up on everyone’s family and holidays,” Fowler concluded in her message recapping the Valentine Program Kick-off.
NOTE: CeeCee Collins, LMRCA, will be introducing 2022 Valentine Lady Jeannie to The Loveland City Council Tuesday night January 11 at 7pm. All are invited to attend and support the Program. Wear red.
