LOVELAND, OH (October 4, 2024) – Loveland City Schools recently announced a Town Hall meeting about school finances scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the Middle School Cafeteria.
Mike Broadwater, Superintendent, Loveland City Schools District (Provided)
In his message to the community, LCSD Superintendent Mike Broadwater assured the community “this is not a conversation about a levy or budget issues”. Rather, the purpose of this “Town Hall” discussion on school finance is to help the community learn and understand the complexities of the Ohio school funding system. Loveland Schools Treasurer John Espy will lead the discussion. The meeting is meant, not just for the Loveland Schools community of parents, but for the entire community to engage with the schools.
Below is the complete text of the Superintendent’s Message to the community:
Loveland Tiger Families,
We want to let you know about an upcoming Town Hall Meeting about school finances. Don’t worry – this is not a conversation about a levy or budget issues – it’s an effort to educate and engage our community on this important topic.
Ohio’s school funding system is complex and can be difficult to understand. Our Treasurer, John Espy, will lead the conversation during our Town Hall, and we’ll collect important feedback from people who attend. This meeting is for our entire community, so if you have friends or neighbors who might be interested, please let them know. We’ll be working to spread the word with signs, social media posts, and our Community Newsletter.
Please join us for a School Finance Town Hall on Wednesday, October 16, at 6:30 pm in the Loveland Middle School cafeteria.
