LOVELAND, OH (September 3, 2021) – The Loveland Legacy Foundation’s “Dinner en Rouge” promises to be a highlight event of the Loveland social season for 2021.
The Landing Event Center is host to the evening gala to provide a fun evening of fellowship and fundraising to support the mission of the Loveland Legacy Foundation (LLF) in the Loveland community. Since 2018, LLF has provided support for those in crisis, to area organizations, and businesses in need. Their stated mission is: “Improve the community through an action-based culture, engaging with organizations sharing a common vision, connecting needs to solutions.” The Loveland Legacy Foundation was borne from the overwhelming response by the community to support those impacted by the 2017 Memorial Day weekend fire which burned one block of Historic Downtown Loveland.
Red (Rouge) is the theme with “Dinner en Rouge” organizers inviting guests to dress in their finest red couture. A fine dining experience is planned combined with open bar, live music and dancing. The festive evening begins at 6:30 and runs through 10 p.m. Laura Padgett is one of the event organizers excited about the community response to this night of celebration among Foundation’s Board of Directors and friends from throughout the Loveland community.
“Yes, it’s a sellout, we have 121 guests,” said Padgett. “It’ll be a cocktail party outdoors at The Landing. We’ll come in for dinner and the band will be playing.”
The live music will be provided by the “Everything’s Jake” band featuring R&B, Blues, Pop & Rock played by the “Everything’s Jake” trio of Ben Duke, Joe Cremeans & Marianne Puntenney. Inside for dinner, the VIP tables include charcuterie plates, wine, swag bags and raffle tickets. Guests will have the opportunity to enjoy a wine pull and a rare bourbon basket raffle. This isn’t the first go-round for the Dinner en Rouge event.
“The one we had two years ago was one of the most fun events I’ve been to,” Padgett said. “We’re looking forward to another wonderful evening being able to raise money for the Loveland Legacy Foundation while having a lot of fun.”
Among the most fun parts of this exciting social event in Loveland is the “Grand Prix de la Robe Rouge” where the person chosen as best dressed in red couture wins a specially picked out basket of festive red-themed items. Yes, the Ladies in Red around Loveland always mean the Loveland Valentine Ladies, but for this one special gala evening, everyone is encouraged to put on their best red.
“Usually, events like this have a whole lot of bidding baskets,” Padgett explained. “Really, we’re not doing a lot of those.”
With the City of Loveland also holding a special 20th anniversary memorial of September 11, 2001 which includes a fireworks display during the night, Padgett says guest of the Dinner en Rouge will have the opportunity to take a break, go outside and look to the skies for another enjoyable moment in their gala eve. When it is all said and done, all proceeds from the Dinner en Rouge will go to assist the Loveland Legacy Foundation in continuation of their great works in Loveland.
“It’s really about the people coming together, having a good time and raising money for a great cause,” Padgett said. “People enjoying people, coming down into Loveland, we enjoy what we do in our community. We hope to raise awareness and money for Loveland Legacy Foundation this year.”
