FUN WITH MAPS DAILY FEATURE: ISSUE 2024-024

By Steve Kovacs (Introduction by Chuck Gibson)

LOVELAND, OH (February 8, 2024) – Today’s edition of Fun with Maps celebrates the founding of scouting in America.

Boy Scouts

The Boy Scouts of America were founded on February 10, 1910.  It was based on the British version; bonding and life lessons for both skills and friendship.

About 110 million boys have participated since inception.

Parents are encouraged to participate, but now thanks to technology, they need to be checked out – speeding ticket, late on payments?  You are out, presumably.

It is headquartered currently in Irvine, Texas
