For what are you most thankful this season?
A Note from the editor:
Thanksgiving and the Christmas Season is fast approaching. Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28, is less than three weeks away as I write this note to Loveland Beacon readers on Friday, November 8.
Thanksgiving is one of my very favorite holidays. For many years I have called it the four F’s day – if somewhat in jest – Family, Friends, Food, and Football. Not kidding about the importance of gathering family and friends for the feast of food, but football may be another matter. Though I suspect football is a big part of the majority of traditional Thanksgiving celebrations all around our community. Maybe the most important part, sadly lost in all the excitement of the feast, family, friends, football and of course “Black Friday”, is stopping to take a moment to reflect back over the year that has passed and GIVE THANKS – even out loud.
Taking a moment to reflect on, and give thanks for the blessings which have come our way has been a simple tradition at our Thanksgiving table. This year, with the launch of the Loveland Beacon online news site, I am especially thankful for the support of the Loveland community at large, as well as the support of our neighboring communities. I have much more to reflect upon and for which to give thanks, but here and now, I invite each of you, our Loveland Beacon readers, to share with us the things for which you are most thankful this Thanksgiving.
Take a moment and send your thankful thoughts to: chuck@lovelandbeacon.com to be published here on the PEOPLE’S VOICE page of the Loveland Beacon. Thank you one and all for your continued support of our community.
