As the 2020/2021 school year draws to a close for the Loveland City School District, they have more for which to be thankful than one could have imagined a few short months ago. It has been less than a year since plans for students, teachers and staff to return to school were simply up in the air. Shoot, no one knew at all what the school year would look like for sure. Remote learning, back to the classrooms, some hybrid combined schedule in-class and at home, wearing masks, social distanced, alternate days; would there be any extracurricular activities? The pandemic raised seemingly unending questions.
Here we are though. The Loveland High School Class of 2021 graduated – albeit with masks on – with all the usual pomp and circumstance reserved for the special day at Cintas Center with families – though limited social distance seating – in attendance. The celebration of the Class of 2021 was wonderful in every way. Now, the students K-11 are wrapping up their final classes for the year. No, we can’t quite say the pandemic is behind us, in the past, but it seems to be finally fading from sight in our rearview mirrors – or in our modern tech world – fading from camera view on our rearview cameras. The Loveland City School District has put the video camera to use to share a special message of “Thanks” to the community in the following video:
