In a news release early Wednesday afternoon, December 8, LCSD invited the Loveland community to join in the ceremony honoring retired teacher and coach Stan McCoy Jr. when the Loveland Intermediate School (LIS) gymnasium will be named in his honor. The naming of the gym recognizes McCoy for his decades of service to the Loveland City Schools and the community.

The ceremony will take place in the LIS gym between basketball games at approximately 5:45 p.m. Monday, 12/13. Everyone is invited to come out and cheer him on as he receives this special honor.

Stan McCoy Jr. carried on the tradition of his father, the late Stan McCoy Sr. serving the Loveland Schools and community.  Now the LIS will carry his name just as the Loveland Middle School gym carries the name of Stan McCoy Sr.

Loveland City Schools says thank you to the McCoy family for years of service to generations of the Loveland Tigers families.
