River’s Edge Brass Band in concert

at St. Columban this Sunday

LOVELAND, OH (March 15, 2023) – St. Columban Church in Loveland, Ohio is hosting the River’s Edge Brass Band (REBB) concert Sunday, March 19th at 3:00 p.m.

Here is some details from St. Columban music director Mary Bellman:

The REBB is a traditional British brass band featuring 33 skilled brass and percussion players from Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. Founded in 2014, the band has performed for audiences all over the area ever since. Brass bands play on a specific set of conical instruments and perform a wide variety of traditional and popular music and marches. This band will sound amazing in St. Columban Church!

 The concert at St. Columban features “British Brass Band Classics,” performing both traditional and contemporary works written for brass bands. These include R. Vaughn William’s overture Henry the Fifth, Gustav Holst’s Moorside Suite, and an exciting and challenging piece from English composer Phillip Sparke, A London Overture, among others.

• The concert will last about one hour
• All ages are welcome.
• No tickets required
• A freewill offering for the band will be accepted at the conclusion of the program.
