SEVEN MEN OF MOELLER SIGN TO BECOME STUDENT ATHLETES

CINCINNATI, OHIO (February 9, 2024) –  On Thursday, February 8, 2004, seven Archbishop Moeller High School student athletes signed a commitment to play sports at the college level.

Let’s meet the athletes:

  • Talan DeBruler of Milford is heading to Mercyhurst University to play lacrosse. He is a four-year varsity athlete, has a 3.4 cumulative GPA, and received second honors. 
  • Brennen Hickey of West Chester signed to play lacrosse with Cleveland State.
  • Nick Monahan of Blue Ash will be playing defensive line for Bryant University’s football team. He received the 4 Year Iron Man award, was Zehler Freshmen House Captain and Senior Mentor Group Captain, has a 4.0 cumulative GPA, and is a member of the National Honor Society and Latin Honor Society. Nick also volunteers with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and Cancer Free Kids.
  • Ethan Page of Liberty Township is heading to Lake Erie College to be a punter for their football team. He was named First Team GCL, 2x GCL Punter of the Year, 2x First Team All-District, 2x Third Team All-Ohio, 2x Regional Punter of the Year, Second Team All-Tri-State, and All-Tri-State Honorable Mention. Ethan’s stats include 34 punts, 1,407 yards, 41.38 average, with the longest punt at 61 yards. In addition to football, he plays baseball, received second honors for three years, has a 3.57 cumulative GPA, and is a member of the Little Buddies program.
  • Kyler Paul of Morrow signed with Dayton University to play football.
  • Noah Smith of West Chester signed to play lacrosse for Belmont Abbey College. He has played three years of varsity lacrosse and hockey, golf his junior year, was the top goal scorer for lacrosse in 2023, has received the Hockey Workhorse award and been named Hockey MVP. Noah has been an honor roll student for 14 straight quarters, has a 4.28 cumulative GPA, is a member of the German Honor Society, and received the bronze medal on the national German exam. 
  • Preston Smith of South Lebanon will be playing wide receiver for Mount Union’s football team. He was named Second Team GCL, received second honors, has a 3.8 cumulative GPA, and is a member of the Little Buddies program.

 

Moeller High School and the community extends CONGRATULATIONS  to these young men as they look to the next part of their academic and athletic career.
