Braves prepare for virtual writing competition May 22

INDIAN HILL, OH (March 11, 2021) – BIG NEWS! Write all about it!!

Indian Hill High School (IHHS) will have seven student-authors compete in the JustWrite State Writing Competition! The state qualifiers include: Hannah Kremer, Julianne Lambert, Marianna Narita, Maria Nath, Joy On, Grace Wang, and Elsa Zhou.

“This is incredible news and we are so excited for our students who have advanced to this elite level of competition,” said Tom Millard, Indian Hill High School English teacher and JustWrite mentor.

In addition to advancing to the state competition, Elsa Zhou also placed third in the Division 1 (freshmen and sophomores) poetry competition with her work Imperfection in 4 Shades during the regional competition.

For the regional competition, writers sat for three 45-minute rounds where they were given a genre and a prompt from which to compose an original story. Poetry competitors were given a prompt and one week to compose an original poem. 

The state competition will be held online Saturday, May 22.
