As you may have heard by now, the Ohio Department of Health (ODH) put out new guidelines regarding the role that school districts play in contact tracing during the COVID-19 pandemic. You can take a look at the message from Dr. Bruce Vanderhoff from ODH by following this link.
The key phrase in the new guidelines is this one: “schools may discontinue universal contact tracing.” That will change how every district across Ohio will approach dealing with COVID, and we are no exception.
We are working to clarify with Hamilton County Public Health exactly what will be required of the district moving forward, but I wanted to send you this note today to let you know that changes to our procedures will be going into place shortly. Look for detailed information tomorrow.
