COLUMBUS, OH (January 26, 2023) – Wednesday, January 25, State Representative Jean Schmidt (R-Loveland)  was appointed to serve as Chairwoman of the Ohio House of Representatives Families & Aging Committee.

“I am very pleased to have the opportunity to serve in this position,” Schmidt said. “I look forward to hearing and working on legislation that will impact not only those in the 62nd House District, but all Ohio families”

Schmidt was appointed to serve in this position by Speaker Jason Stephens (R-Kitts Hill).

“Over the course of her career, we have all witnessed Representative Schmidt’s dedication to bettering the lives of Ohio families,” Stephens said. “She has been extremely effective in her efforts, and I cannot wait to see her continue to do so on the Families & Aging Committee.”
