LOVELAND, OH (June 23, 2026) – In a spectacular display of racing skills, Evagoras Papasavvas claimed a P2 finish after starting at the back of the 15-car field in race one Saturday at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and then followed that up with two more podium finishes in the final two FRA races at Indy on Sunday – another P2 and a P3.

Evagoras shares the full race story in this episode of Tracking EP Racing – A Loveland Beacon Sports Podcast.
In his own words: “The story of the weekend,” said Papasavvas, “was doing the best I could with what I had.”
After a good qualifying run Friday placing him in the #3 starting position for race one Saturday, it seemed the odds were stacked against him. He was penalized for exiting the track before the official close of the qualifying session moving him all the way to the final starting position.
Evagoras made the best of a challenging situation making quick work passing multiple cars in the first laps of the race moving through the field while recording the fastest lap of the race and ultimately finishing second at the checkered flag.
Cautions and slight damage to the #71 in the first race Sunday morning dropped him to third but kept him on the podium with the P3 finish. Rebounding from those struggles, Evagoras came back in the final race of the weekend to collect his third podium result finishing in second place just behind the race winner as the final lap concluded under a full-course caution and no chance to make the potential winning pass.
The three podium finishes were enough to keep Evagoras Papasavvas at the top of the Driver Championship Standings still ahead of his closest challenger Brady Golan who swept the three-races at IMS gaining ground on the championship leader but still short. The next closest championship challenger, Cooper Shipman, third in the standings had two podium finishes but not enough to close the gap on Papasavvas.
