I respectfully ask you to withdraw the levy from the June 2 ballot.

OPEN LETTER TO LOVELAND CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT: From Linda Kiernan, Resident, Loveland -Miami Township

Thursday, March 19, 2020:

Linda Kiernan, Loveland – Miami Township Resident (Provided)

I respectfully ask you to withdraw the levy from the June 2 ballot.

In light of the current Corvid-19 pandemic, many families in our community are and will suffer devastating financial consequences that will impact their lives for the short-term, and many, the long-term. Jobs furloughed, small businesses closed, some forever, retirement income severely decimated, and a very uncertain economic future for all. Some may have no more to give you.

These are unprecedented times, extraordinary times that demand extraordinary leadership. You say you love our kids, our community. Now is the time for you to step up and prove it. Now is the time to show your gratitude for the decades of support this community has given you.

We all have to conserve, cut back, live within our means. It’s time for you to do the same. We are frightened, stressed, have had enough.dissent. It is unconscionable for you to move forward with this levy.
Do the right thing. Be the leaders we need and want. Do it for the kids, their families, our community.
Sincerely,
Linda Kiernan                                                                                                                       Resident, Loveland-Miami Township
