Ceremonial ribbon cutting will open the station this Saturday, May 30th

LOVELAND, OH (May 27, 2026) – You are invited to the ribbon cutting ceremony and public open house celebrating the completion of the new Chief Otto J. Huber Fire Station 63 this Saturday, May 30th.

The newly completed 10,000-plus square-foot fire station, named in honor of Loveland Fire Chief Otto J. Huber for his longtime service and leadership spanning more than 50 years, will replace the historic downtown fire station. This new station promises to strengthen emergency response services for Loveland residents. The new station is located at 220 E. Loveland Avenue, Loveland, OH 45140.
The dedication event will take place from 12:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
Here’s what the city has planned:
- A ceremonial procession from the former station to the new facility
- Formal remarks from City and Fire Department officials
- A ribbon cutting and traditional hose coupling ceremony
- Public tours of the new station
TIMING:
- 12:00 PM – The ceremonial procession from former Station 63 to the new Chief Otto J. Huber Station 63
- 12:30 PM – Formal ceremony and remarks by Loveland dignitaries
- 1:05 PM (Approximately) Ribbon cutting and traditional hose coupling ceremony
- 1:30 – 3:00 PM – Public open house and guided tours

NOTE TRAFFIC ADVISORY:
A lane closure will be in place on E. Loveland Ave. from the Nature Preserve to S.R. 48 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM . Residents impacted by the closure will receive prior notification from the Loveland-Symmes Fire Department.
