It’s not too late, but the March 31st deadline for entries is less than three weeks away. There is still time for you to submit your flag design entry. Here’s what it’s all about. The Loveland Sesquicentennial Committee put the call out for “original artwork” designs to update the current Loveland Flag by contest. They are seeking original artwork for the design of a new city flag in time to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the City of Loveland.
In their own words, the committee and the city is calling for your creativity:
Artists that live or work in Loveland and are at least 18 years old are encouraged to submit up to three sample flags. The contest is open to individual artists; please no organizations or artist groups/collaborations. All imagery must be of original design and not a copy or variation of another artist’s design in any medium.
A $1,000 honorarium will be awarded for the use of the completed, camera-ready design!
The new flag will be used for a minimum of 10 years, displayed proudly at city buildings and parks.
