LHS Student has tested positive for COVID-19

LOVELAND, OH (October 20, 2020) – Loveland Schools reports they were notified Monday, October 19, an LHS student tested positive for COVID-19.

In a COVID-19 Update released this afternoon, Loveland Schools reported the notification of an LHS student testing positive for COVID-19 came Monday, October 19.  The update also says the student was last present at the school on Friday, Octoberr 16. All members of the school who were determined to be in close contact with the student have been notified according to the update released. They will follow Hamilton County Health protocols. Anyone who has not been notified was determined not to have been in close contact with the student.

On 10/19/20, the district was notified that a student at Loveland High School tested positive for COVID-19. This student was last present at school on Friday, 10/16/20. Members of the school determined to be in close-contact with the confirmed case have been notified and will follow Hamilton County Public Health protocols. If you were not notified, your student was not determined to be in close contact

The Loveland City School District wishes to reiterate the following important information:

– The district strives to protect the health of its students, families, and employees. To do that, accurate and timely reporting is necessary to contain the spread of the virus and its adverse impacts on the health of our community. It is a collaborative effort by everyone involved. By working together, students, parents, employees, and our public health department can make a difference and save the lives of our friends and families.

– All staff and students should follow the protocols outlined by Hamilton County Public Health, including daily health checks for symptoms of COVID-19.

– Should you or your student develop any of these symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider for guidance.

  • Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle or body aches
  • Headache
  • Loss of taste or smell
  • Sore throat
  • Congestion or runny nose
  • Nausea or vomiting
  • Diarrhea
