On Monday, June 1, two weeks ahead of the normal start for NEST summer programs of the past, they launched into the 2020 Lunch, Learn & Play program for Loveland school kids. DeVol recognized early in the coronavirus quarantine the impending need to keep the students minds engaged “more than ever” this summer. She cited the separation from normal classroom teaching and personal engagement with teachers during the distance learning caused by the COVID-19 school closure as a real risk for students. This program is designed to keep the students most at risk engaged with learning in line with the mission of NEST Community Learning Center – Nutrition, Education, Safety & Tranformation.
