Seth Mitchell to be honored

in NASCAR’s Coca-Cola 600 Sunday

LOVELAND, OH (May 26, 2024) – Captain David “Seth” Mitchell will be on one of the NASCAR Cup Series cars this upcoming Sunday during the 600 Miles of Remembrance in the Coca-Cola 600.

He will be on the #31 car belonging to Daniel Hemric and Kaulig Racing. It is part of the special remembrance in this Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race which takes place on the Memorial Day observance weekend each year. Loveland native Captain Seth Mitchell is one of two along with MSG Thomas Donald Maholic being remembered on Kaulig Racing cars in the Coca-Cola 600 taking place later today.

Marine Captain David “Seth” Mitchell was a graduating member of the 1997 senior class of Loveland High School. He was a Cobra helicopter pilot for the marines. Mitchell died when two marine helicopters collided during flight operations over southern Afghanistan while supporting combat operations there. He was just 30 years old at the time. He gave all so we can enjoy freedom.
