As part of their initial COVID-19 response, Matthew 25 is distributing more than 60,000 pounds of supplies to approximately 200 organizations, including hospitals, fire departments, police departments, nursing homes, schools, healthcare facilities, and more. Supplies provided include approximately 20,000 N95 and surgical masks, 155,000 gloves, 25,000 bottles of hand sanitizer, 11,000 packages of wipes, 8,500 rolls of paper products, 900 personal care kits, 1,000 sanitizing kits, 23,000 batteries, plus additional assorted medical and personal care items.

These desperately needed supplies will help to support and supplement these organizations’ tireless efforts as they care for the community’s at-risk populations including the sick, the elderly, the impoverished, and others in need.

Many of these organizations are desperately short on the supplies they need to care for their patients and protect their staff and Matthew 25’s donations are providing critically important support to these organizations.  Messages of thanks pour in daily via phone and social media:

“Matthew 25 supplied our field staff with supplies today! Thanks so much for helping to keep our patients and caregivers safe!”

“We are so thankful for these items because they are either back ordered with our supplier with no sign of delivery or else they cancelled our order all together because they can’t get them.”

“On behalf of our Fire Fighters, THANK YOU!! We were critically low and unable to order more.”

“Thank you for helping our nursing home!”

“Today we received some supplies from Matthew 25 for our home care and our patients, and staff are so Thankful!”

Matthew 25 will continue working with our local, state and national partners in the coming weeks to provide hope and help during this unprecedented time.

Matthew 25: Ministries has suspended volunteer hours at their facility until further notice. In order to remain compliant with Governor DeWine’s Stay At Home Order for the state of Ohio and to honor the governor’s ban on non-essential travel, Matthew 25 is asking only for donations of medical and hygiene supplies at this time.  Matthew 25 will continue to share the recommendations of the CDC, the Ohio Health Department, and other officials as information becomes available.
