LOVELAND WOMEN’S CLUB BACK TOGETHER

It was a St. Patrick’s Day celebration as the Loveland Women’s Club met for the first time since March 2020

LOVELAND, OH (April 20, 2021) –  Twas a fine celebration (if a little late) for St. Patrick’s Day when the Loveland Women’s Club (LWC) got back together again on April 13, 2021. You see it has been over a year since the LWC met in person last March 2020 due to COVID-19. 

I can’t say for sure any of the lovely ladies of the Loveland Women’s Club danced the Irish Jig, but I’m sure their hearts were dancing as they met again in person on Thursday, April 13.  Though it was nearly a month overdue, the ladies celebrated St. Patrick’s Day in high style with the help of “leprechauns” Tim O’Grady, Dan Peterson, and Gary Giver serving up the luck o the Irish fare of coffee and some pretty good looking St. Paddy’s Day cookies.  The hostesses were Pat Furterer, Becky Giver and Gloria Wilson. 

There was no formal  program or featured presenter/speaker since it was the first monthly meeting following the year-plus layoff due to COVID. Instead, the ladies mostly shared stories of their “COVID Experiences” according to LWC President, Nancy Downing.   

“Some were  happy, some were sad, some were eye opening,” said Downing. ” It was actually like a “bonding experience” that brought us so much closer together.”

The Loveland Women’s Club was organized in 1912. They meet monthly. The next LWC meeting is scheduled for May 11, 2020.
