Potential busing changes for next scholl year

LOVELAND SCHOOLS: Superintendent’s Update

LOVELAND, OH (May 18, 2022) – Following the Loveland School Board of Educatrion meeting held Tuesday, May 17, Loveland Schools released the following update from Superintendent Mike Broadwater.

Loveland Tiger Families:

During the Board Meeting last night, I presented some potential changes to our busing schedule for next school year. I shared the chart below, which shows bus arrival and departure times. Start times would be adjusted as well, but those haven’t been finalized yet.

We need to make this change because of the shortage of bus drivers that is hitting districts here and across the country. Our drivers are a vital part of getting our kids to school. Switching to a three-tier busing system, from a two-tier as we have now, will allow us to run routes with the number of drivers we expect to have for next year.

I know that families build their schedules around getting kids to and from school, so I wanted to get these potential changes in front of you as soon as possible. And I will get the final schedule to all of our families as quickly as possible, so you can begin your planning for the fall.

Thank you for your understanding. These aren’t actions we take lightly, but it is important to make these changes so we can provide safe, dependable transportation for our students with the resources we have available.
