New Superintendent expected to be announced following BOE Special Meeting tonight

LOVELAND, OH (May 26, 2021) – The Loveland School Board is pretty much right on schedule with the planned Superintendent search and hiring process laid out several weeks ago with plans to announce the new Superintendent following tonight’s ‘Special Meeting’ to consider employment and contract.

LOVELAND SCHOOLS – SUPERINTENDENT UPDATE: As previously announced by LCSD, the Loveland School Board will meet tonight, Wednesday, May 26, for the purpose of “considering public emplyoyee/school employee hiring and contract” Following an Executive Session, Loveland School Board will officially announce Mr. Michael Broadwater as the new Superintendent for the Loveland City School District – pending final official approval of contract.
Mr. Broadwater is currently serving as Assistant Superintendent for Forest Hills Schools where he has been since 2012. Members of the Community Advisory Group will likely be on hand for the announcement following the “Special 6 p.m. Meeting” of the Board of Education.
While no official announcement has been released by officials of the Loveland City School District, a source very close to the search process and discussions confirms Michael Broadwater will be named the new Superintendent for the Loveland City School District. When asked, LCSD Board of Education President, Dr. Kathryn Lorenz would not confirm the selection. Lorenz did confrim the announcement of the new Superintendent would come following thier “Special Meeting” tonight. She also confirmed members of the Community Advisory Group who participated in the superintendent search process have been invited to attend the BOE meeting to be on hand for the announcement of the new superintendent.
The Board of Education for Loveland City Schools special meeting on May 26th at 6:00 p.m. will be held in the LIS/LMS Cafeteria at 757 S. Lebanon Road, Loveland, OH, 45140 for those who wish to come in person. This meeting will be held both in person and remotely.
