LOVELAND, OH (June 28, 2023) – The Loveland youth Little League baseball team will compete for the District Championship and a chance to advance to the State championship tournament in Ashtabula July 8th.

The team, coached by Scott Carr along with assistant Mike Wagner, is made up of kids from Loveland who have been playing together since they were just eight years old. They are called the Loveland Little 13U All Stars and will take on the winner of Wednesday evening’s elimination game between Hamilton/Fairfield and Lakota. They are playing in the Intermediate Division of Little League Baseball District 9 Southwest Ohio.

“This would be the first district championship for any Loveland Little League team since 2019. We expect a great crowd tomorrow night.” – Coach Scott Carr

A victory would set up the Loveland Little 13U All Star for a chance at state. This team has finished as runner-up to the West Side team the last few seasons up until they reached 12U. West Side is not fielding a 13U team this year. Coach Carr hopes this will be the year the Loveland team will once again prevail as winners. If they win and move on, they would have a chance at advancing to the Little League International World Series and an opportunity to play in California with games televised on ESPN-TV.
